The New Carlsberg Foundation supports the creation of publications aimed at disseminating knowledge about art to a general audience, including exhibition catalogues and monographs, which can contribute to providing new insights into the histories of art. The content of the publications should be current and relevant to the present day and contribute to giving art a prominent voice in public debates.
The foundation endeavours to have its range of supported publications reflect great breadth and diversity in terms of the artists represented, media, perspectives, periods, geography, gender, art forms, etc.
The New Carlsberg Foundation supports publications that present Danish art in a global perspective as well as publications that present art from abroad, thereby giving Danish audiences insight into art’s global outlook.
