About Stine Høholt
Stine Høholt (1972), MA and PhD, is Director of Kunstmuseum Brandts in Odense.
From 2005-2020, chief curator at ARKEN Museum of Modern Art in Ishøj, which she initially joined as a curator in 1999. She has spearheaded some of the museum’s initiatives within exhibitions and research. Stine Høholt has been chief curator on exhibitions with Frida Kahlo, Asger Jorn, Olafur Eliasson, Randi & Katrine and Niki de Saint-Phalle, among others.
From her work at Kunstmuseum Brandts and ARKEN Stine Høholt brings experience and competence regarding contemporary art, research, art communication and museum development. She has also served as an appointed expert for the Nordic Culture Fund and on a number of councils and committees, including the Research Board at The Danish Design School (now Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts, School of Design). A member of the board of the New Carlsberg Foundation (and thus of the board of the New Carlsberg Glyptotek) since 2017.
Stine Høholt has contributed to a large number of journals, exhibition catalogues and anthologies and is author of the PhD thesis Easier Living? On American design and the dream about frictionless everyday life.
