A donation of several million kroner from the private foundations Aage og Johanne Louis-Hansens Fond, Augustinus Fonden and the New Carlsberg Foundation secures an early masterpiece by the famous Dutch baroque painter Pieter Claesz for The Nivaagaard Collection at an international art auction.

With a new donation of a very special life study from C. W. Eckersberg’s renowned school of painting at the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts in Copenhagen in 1833, the New Carlsberg Foundation has secured an important piece for the Golden Age collection at the Glyptotek.

With a substantial million-euro donation, the New Carlsberg Foundation and the Augustinus Fonden have secured the outstanding painting Nymph and Faun by the French artist Henri Matisse for the National Gallery of Denmark (SMK). A piece that the SMK has been seeking to acquire for more than 20 years.

A donation from the New Carlsberg Foundation helped ensure the sale of the Danish artist Jesper Just's ambitious project, Servitudes, to the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York. During the summer of 2019, the installation will be presented at Kunsthal Charlottenborg in Copenhagen.
