The New Carlsberg Foundation boosts art research with DKK 16 million.

The Danish/Norwegian artist duo Elmgreen & Dragset’s exhibition at the Whitechapel Gallery in London debates the underlying power structures of society and the institutions of art. The New Carlsberg Foundation supports the production of the extensive exhibition catalogue.

Youth, talent, ambition – and sudden death. The sort of tragic fate that lends itself so easily to mythologizing. In this mythology, the painter Johan Thomas Lundbye (1818–1848) is the rock star of the Danish Golden Age. Now, for the first time, his journals are published in a single volume, in the book Seks år af et liv (Six years in a life).
