The New Carlsberg Foundation supports the publication of art-related research-based publications which contribute, with professional originality, to creating new insights into the histories of art and to stimulating the study of art and art history. Art and the academic study of art can be an enlightening and valuable contribution to general public debates, and current and relevant publications can support this position.
The New Carlsberg Foundation endeavours to have its range of supported publications reflect great breadth and diversity in terms of their research topics and perspectives as well as their institutional anchoring.
The New Carlsberg Foundation also supports publications that involve collaboration between scholars and/or institutions in Denmark and abroad.
