The Art of Light
To mark the 170th anniversary, the Carlsberg Foundation and the New Carlsberg Foundation host the anniversary event The Art of Light at DR Koncerthuset: an on-stage conversation, where science journalist Lone Frank talks with Olafur Eliasson and Lene Hau about their work with light in the fields of art and science.

170 free tickets for two persons every day
The Ny Carlsberg Glyptotek and the Museum of National History at Frederiksborg Castle have maintained strong ties with Carlsberg. With support from the New Carlsberg Foundation and the Carlsberg Foundation, we hold a daily drawing for 170 tickets for two persons to the two museums throughout the anniversary week. The tickets are valid all week and also include free admission to our visitors’ centre Visit Carlsberg.

Special access
During the anniversary week, there will be access to selected Carlsberg locations that are not normally open to the public. Carlsberg Laboratorium offers guided tours, and Visit Carlsberg provides special access to the Carlsberg Museum & Business Centre and Carl Jacobsen’s private villa on selected days.
Drone tour
You can begin right now with an online drone tour of Carlsberg’s history. The tour starts in the old brewery in Valby and then moves on to the Ny Carlsberg Glyptotek, the Museum of National History at Frederiksborg Castle, Carlsberg Laboratorium and the Little Mermaid statue by Langelinie, which was donated by Carl Jacobsen.
