Summer landscape to Viborg

P. C. Skovgaard Sommerlandskab med køer set fra Sandgraven i Vejby mod Ørby Bavn, 1843

A lovely landscape study painted by P. C. Skovgaard during a summer sojourn in Vejby in northern Zealand has now been added to the collection of the Skovgaard Museum in Viborg. The study demonstrates that Skovgaard’s mastery of intimate, small-scale portrayals of nature was equal to his grasp of large, monumental compositions. The purchase was made possible by support from the New Carlsberg Foundation.

Olafur Eliasson Fondation Beyeler

Olafur Eliasson recently transformed Fondation Beyeler into a microcosm, and we are invited in. Along with ducks, flowers and other organisms we become participants in a unique spatial and sensory universe as we experience the installation and its interplay with the museum’s architecture and natural surroundings. The New Carlsberg Foundation has supported the development of the digital platform of this solo exhibition.
